For all of our loyal followers (I’m looking at you parents), sorry for the delay on an update. Right now we’re at the Sheraton in Ontario, CA and they feel like charging us for Internet. Don’t worry, I talked to them and explained how our parents NEED an update and they gave it to me for free.
So I’m sure everyone knows by now, but on Monday we won our scrimmage versus UCSB 16-11! We came out really strong to start the game, with three quick goals to give ourselves the advantage in the first half. Our offense made some great plays, and we were backed by big defensive stops. We went into halftime up 10-5.
In the second, UCSB kept up their pressure, and got the game within 3 goals at one point. However, we were able hold them off for the win.
Although we won, we learned some valuable lessons about ourselves that we can take into our game tonight. If you want to read the game recap from UCSB, click here.
On Tuesday we practiced early at UCSB and ended our time at the college with a run that led to an amazing view. Right on the edge of the campus there is a great drop off that leads to a gorgeous beach. The view of the Pacific was unbeatable. We didn’t get any pictures of it, but the googled image below might give you an idea.
After that practice, we loaded up the vans and Mrs. Lipari’s rental car (thank you!) and traveled to this Sheraton. Our night ended with a team dinner at the Olive Garden, some hot tub time and a team meeting.
Currently, everyone is eating breakfast and then we’ll head to a morning practice. Tonight, as you know, we’ll play Claremont Mudd-Scripps at 7 p.m. (10 p.m. Eastern 😦 ) We’re expecting a great game and, as always, a nice win.
Until then, here are pictures from our game:
