Hello from Los Angeles, California!
It’s time for some:
After a super-long day of traveling, Fisher Lacrosse has finally touched down in the City of Angels, and I’m not sure they’re ready for us.
Our trip started at 3 p.m. on Thursday as we loaded into the bus and took off for the airport. But after a quick and easy pass through security, we found out our flight was delayed until 7:15 – needless to say we had some time to kill. A pretty intense game of “Pit” broke out, while others took to reading, movies and blackjack.
A two-hour flight to Atlanta led to a quick layover and a near-six hour flight to L.A. We eventually touched down at about 1:00 a.m. (4:00 a.m. in the Roc.). Thirteen hours of traveling? Not bad.
But the adventure didn’t end there. We finally found our way to the Travelodge LAX, which made me feel like I was in the film “No Vacancy”. But it’s morning now! And despite the slight, drizzle and a semi-low forecast of 61-degrees, we can’t wait to get this trip underway!
Today we depart for Santa Barbara, where we’ll head straight to practice and then head to a dinner social with the lax team from there. On Monday, this team will be our opponent, but tonight they’ll be our dinner guests.
Keep checking back to hear all about our tour of SoCal – hopefully you’ll be able to see your computer screen through all the snow that just landed.
